The Palaeoflux Model, an in-house model of Streamstar Geosolutions, was applied for 29 rivers of the Mozambique Margins, to calculate volumetrics for 40 timeslices. A total of 1800 numeric results was obtained. These results are discussed in the report per geodynamic phase, while in the Appendix of the study all calculated volume and flux data are listed per palaeodrainage basin and per timeslice. Volumes and Flux (volume per unit of time) of transported sediment aid recognition of ancient deltaic systems and phases of progradation vs transgression and help predicting the geometry of sandstone bodies associated with potential reservoirs.

The Palaeoflux Model helped to define the geometry of the buried megadelta of the Cretaceous Limpopo, and through modelling, a few other, smaller deltas were recognized at locations where today no large rivers reach the ocean.
